@billyjoebowers @RickiTarr I read a story kinda like that from around 1900 or so in a book on local history. A man from out of town was harassing women so the local station agent borrowed a dress and catfished this man. Then the townsfolk mobbed him, made a noose and took him to a tree as a threat then permitted him to run away instead of killing him

@koteisaev @mhoye @mntmn showing the program name in a way that can be spoofed would still be better than the current UI. Most of the time this dialogue would pop up because of something either the user did or something the system was configured to do, and in either case showing the program name without code signing would be perfectly fine. Yes a malicious actor could make it fake the name but to not display useful information to the user just because a malicious actor might not give truthful information to the system is silly

@lfa all I know is I'm riding the bike my parents got me as a teenager because I kept bringing it from garage to garage as I moved as an adult and finally said "y'know what, I'll take that into the shop and get that tuned up"

@lfa piggybacking off of this, is there a good resource for learning more about #bicycle maintence and what to look for when bicycle shopping? Something good for a beginner looking to learn more in general?
