On my wife's computer the new Mastodon web interface crashed constantly on her desktop.

Whoa, woke up to a radically different looking Mastodon.

Well, I wanted to give it a chance, but the new Mastodon interface already feels like a step back. Some weird change for change sake things that the kids are all into.

I don't understand the new left home panel on the advanced interface, at all. These are not things I need to see all the time, and the the placement and order is weird.

And having to hit "new post" and get a pop up window on the complete opposite side of the screen that can't be moved is really weird.

I could not figure out where "search" went. Looked and looked. Did not expect to have to click on "explore" to get the search to come up.

To recap: there used to be just fields for typing a post and searching just sitting there. Now you have to click a button to get them to pop up, and that space where they used to be is filled with a bunch of nothing.
