After years of yard disturbances, I collected a maybe 200L of lawn clippings to really get things heating up, and to cook the fruit fly infestation.

These are insulated bins with an internal riser vent and will get quite hot.

My kitchen scraps and brown yard waste do OK on their own, but I don't have the volume of green matter to generate high temperatures, except for grass.

@evan @mariellequinton pfft that's poseur tourist food. Nobody staggers into Beavertails after 8 pints at the Dominion, one needs the fortification of a shawarma to make it home without ending up in a snowbank.

Last time I bought internet service from a major provider, they bundle in the "landline", charge $30/month for it, promo the $30 back on the bill, and implement it as VOIP via a phone port on the "modem".

Regulated telcom and accounting tricks, concealing the sharp decline in revenue from the landlines, maybe collecting subsidies.

@evan @ricci wow, for a SCC system that arose as a distributed evolution of Subversion, people really seem to hate running it themselves. I self-hosted Gitlab for a few years and it was a LOT easier than self-hosting email.

I guess git content is more valuable to steal from hapless "customers" than emails.
