Canada has the kind of workforce to benefit from it. Certain countries aren't great at respecting IP restrictions that would cripple their economy...they just do it anyway and the results are all over.

Trudeau mentions the failure of electoral reform. Claiming they had no support from other parties, which is... a lie or omission... since the NDP has long supported electoral reform. The LPC wouldn't even acknowledge the report. They ran on it and won a majority. That's all the support needed.

I've always understood the opposition to electoral reform comes from within the LPC, and nothing has changed that today.

@evan I'm off work for 13d, and there is maybe 1 day that is not filled with various scheduled activities. I may be at loose ends Sunday due to rain. When I return on Jan 6th, all the problems in and out of work are still there.

I don't mind the government being shielded by a long-planned adjournment of the House, for a couple of weeks.

When you put it in the context with being unable to recall your MP for up to 5 years. Or the completely unchecked authority of a majority govt. with a dysfunctional Senate...or a large mountain of uncodified constitutional...stuff...with the Crown being the ultimate authority over everything, justified by "god"... yeah... adjournment for holidays is completely fine. #cdnpoli

Is there less colonization under neoliberalism than imperialism? I have a hard time seeing the difference between those pictures. The techniques of colonization are somewhat different from imperialism, but the objectives and outcomes are similar. One difference is that the neoliberal regime is more consolidated vs. the handful of imperial powers.
