We agree that this is the moment to stand up and fight back. We also listen to what our allies recommend when we're not sure what to do. Our allies have asked us to not counter protest tomorrow, but to strike on January 23. And that's what Minnesotan's are doing. We keep us safe.

Tomorrow we patrol, we discuss fourth amendment rights with local businesses, and we get together with our family & friends. That's my day tomorrow anyway.

Ignore the far right "protestors". Far right wing agitators are being shipped in from all over the country. Don't give them a fight. I am no fan of the police, believe me, but Jacob Frey has Minneapolis police taking care of this. For once, they might actually be useful.

Constitutional observers, this is for you: just like we're taking down ice license plates, they're taking ours down. They target the best of us. Swap out your cars. Borrow your neighbor's car. Borrow your mom's car or your friend's car. Stay vigilant and keep patrolling. Now, more than ever.

Trump & the GOP want us to feel fear all the time, but stats tell a different story.

In 2025 the United States will almost certainly record its lowest murder rate in history. Not since the pandemic, not since the 1990s crime wave, but lower than any year since the FBI began tracking in 1960. Violent crime is at its lowest level since 1968. Property crime is at the lowest rate ever measured.

Everything in the USA is corrupt. The police are corrupt. Our Wi-Fi providers are corrupt. The CEO's of our companies, like Campbell Soup, are corrupt. Our cell phone companies are corrupt. Our healthcare is astronomical and also really frustrating to use. It's not fun being an American. Our bosses steal our wages. Wage theft steals billions from us every year. But police don't go after our bosses who keep our pay. Or the polluters who poison our water and air. Because it's all corrupt.

Amazing that folks talk about Gulag's when the USA is the most heavily incarcerated society in human history. Incarcerating people in America is profitable. Prisoners end up as slave labor for corporations. They work for pennies an hour and live in cages. They are denied healthcare and a treat like a package of donuts might take them a month of work to earn.

I'm volunteering at a local organic plant nursery. The owner is a retired school teacher. I tell him that ice is in our community and kidnapped someone off 7th street in Anoka. He replies "we need balance" meaning that it's OK for police to kidnap brown people. I hadn't clocked a retired school teacher as Maga, but he has a weekly lunch with his old man friends who are conservative. I always take the temperature of the people around me. #chingalamigra #MN

Yes but you also wrote that these billionaire guys somehow earned it. first there's an innovator, and then inherited wealth follows generationally to folks who did not "earn" it. My point is that those billionaire guys are not special. Those original "innovators" also inherited their wealth. Mostly they got lucky with timing. They're not better than anyone else. And I mean the original person who earns that wealth. They are not special.

You're giving too much credit to the rich guys. I dated the grandson of William Randolph Hearst. Read a lot of Hearst biographies. WRH did not understand the newspaper business. He had no special powers or gifts. He had family wealth. All of these rich bastards have family wealth. They all fail upward.

The world court just ruled that countries and states are legally accountable to keep fossil fuel emissions low to stop our planet from heating up over 1.5°. Essentially they ruled that capitalism is illegal.

Minnesota public radio reported on this story. They omitted that Lula was Bolsonaro's political prisoner for years. Trump is accusing Lula of his own behaviors, which is typical fascist propaganda. Without context, the fascism is underplayed. Lula uplifted Brazil. Bolsonaro destroyed the Amazon and had mercenaries murder Indigenous Brazilians & "drug users".

I met a woman at the community garden this week. She was lovely until she brought up human trafficking. She told me about an exhusband complaining about his devil worshiping child stealing exwife who sold their children for sex. I chastised her for gossip and slander. She was bewildered. I explained to her that for her story to be real, the mother, not her ex-husband, would need to be her source of information.

This logic set her brain off into a spiral.

I knew it was Q. I said so several times and begged her to stop talking, but she just kept going.

She started fear mongering that this woman stopped just shy of selling her children to be game hunted by "rich people" who enjoy hunting children for necrophilic pedophile sex.

Because she lives in a delusion of fantasy horror, she is unable to adjust her behavior & actions to benefit society. We have a book ban we are fighting. She has a Trump sign in her yard.

My response was to shut her down. I asked nicely five times. She ignored me. So I fucking slammed her with honesty. "I find this conversation deeply offensive". I shamed her for gossiping, then wished her a good day and said a definitive goodbye in my sweetest voice.

She had been following me around the garden for 30 minutes. Next time I looked up, she was gone.

In May 2025 US federal courts ruled against trump 96% of the time. Even with his fascist judges and evil SCOTUS. so many of the headlines we read and things that upset us all are being undone. Unfortunately, that takes time. But I want people to take heart, fascism is not inevitable. When we fight, we win. So fight.
