As if we needed another reason to abandon #facebook and #meta.

Facebook's internal policies have changes to ban discussions surrounding Linux citing "security threats." Users will see their accounts locked if they participate in such posts/discussions. The company has has stated that it violates community standards.

Interestingly, Meta is routinely hiring Linux developers and engineers.

Well, this is certainly concerning. A flaw in Cloudflare's content delivery network allows an attacker to geolocate a target simply by sending them an image over Signal or Discord. This is a zero-click vulnerability.

Accuracy depends on a user's location and the number of Cloudflare data centers nearby with urban areas providing potentially greater accuracy.

It isn't just common among younger folks, but those in my age and older. I am in my early 40s and some of those people are not only older but work in InfoSec!

The real danger of the "I have nothing to hide" response is time. *Right now* you may not have anything to hide, but since the #american people decided to re-elect a criminal #fascist with a penchant for authoritarianism, that may change. And then you WILL have something to hide!

At this point there is NO reason *not* to use it. The challenge I frequently encounter is convincing others to use it. The common responses are:

"I already use WhatsApp."
"I use Telegram."
"The government already knows everything about us, so what's the point? I have nothing to hide anyway."
