     @dansupI spend my days introducing people to Pixelfed, but Pixelfed must avoid the mistake Mastodon made when Bluesky overtook it. The app needs to focus on improvements before Bluesky launches its new app, Flashes, which could easily surpass Pixelfed and make our app forgotten. To stay in the lead, Pixelfed should add features like post sharing, direct messaging (DM) to users, dark mode, account switching, and more.

     @dansup mind my naivety but why is the pixelfed.social instance being larger than mastodon.social a good/bad thing? Isn't it just, like, good to have a general increase to the fediverse from any non-corporate instance?

     @dansup Hello, we are interested to translate Pixelfed to Interlingua language (we already have Mastodon translated) but Crowdin does not support it officially. Could we request you to add it as a "custom language"?
