We're so close!

Ok everybody we basically have 35 minutes to go and just $11,147 left! Let's see how much we can close the gap? This is the very last moment to swoop in and help us make our match!

Alright Australians (and everyone in similar time zones)... for you it's tomorrow but for our fundraiser it's today! Help us raise just $16k to make our match!

@anna Yeah, the rules can be tough - often doing something like that causes so much work that the cost of the staff time fully offsets the relative donations! But I completely agree.

With just $16k let to go in the match I'm reminded that silly gimmicks don't usually work for this kind of fundraising. In the past I thought of ridiculous ideas - a letter to a loved one, thanking them for the time that the donor spends on free software (like as a holiday present!), performing a new software freedom song,...

We once gave away a bottle of wine signed by wine developers! (they're mostly beer drinkers though)

What is the silliest or coolest thank you gift you could imagine?

I'm usually not one for social media, but tomorrow I''ll likely spend all day here answering questions and chatting "NPR" style to see if we can close the gap on our match. I'd love it if you joined me and we can talk about software freedom and encourage new people to join!

Did you know that just in the last week we've filed an amicus brief regarding critical issues related to the GPLs? And announced the successful resolution of the case against AVM?

I'm proud of everything that we do - since our fundraiser began we released the OpenWrt One, started a new round of @outreachy internships, and we're onboarding more member projects. We've done so much this past year, it's hard to list - like, we launched Use the Source! We continued our action against Vizio!

oh boy, our fundraiser is over tomorrow (AOE so more than 24 hours), but we've still got about $30k to raise!

Please please please us spread the word, we can do this!
