I took a time management course that someone with ADHD developed, and the best advice in it was that "Everything has a home". Part of the initial process was finding homes for things and then designing an ongoing temporary home for future things that need sorting out. In my case, I got a wooden inbox. I put receipts, mail, papers, etc., in the inbox and then regularly sort it. If it takes a few seconds to resolve (this is a receipt; toss it or file it), I do that.

@silverwizard I'm not sure if this is effective, but she might gather what evidence she has and file for a restraining order. Then she goes to the police with that if the harasser continues.

@silverwizard The funny thing is mine still isn't plugged into my laptop itself. I just never unplug the Yubikey from where it is. So it's not totally pointless if someone stole my laptop (they'd have a bad time either way considering the hard drive is encrypted).

@silverwizard I love mine but my laptop just sits on my desk and it's mostly a convenient way to not have to type my password dozens of times per day.

@silverwizard @rgegriff Is there any chance the Aurora instance that you took the snapshot from is also missing that schema? Like did you take the snapshot from the original Aurora instance that had the schema and restore it to another?

@silverwizard I totally feel this, had something at work completely fall apart and now I'm questioning my own competence.

@silverwizard I used a combination if Udemy and CloudAcademy (which we have through my work). It took a couple months total but the last two weeks or so was totally Udemy doing practice test after practice test. I had the blessing of my boss to prioritize that during work hours though.

@silverwizard I don't know that exam specifically but my tactic with any certification exam has been question dumps and practice tests. Lots and lots of them. It worked well enough that even though a bunch of questions on my AWS Solutions Architect exam were unlike any of the practice questions I spent weeks working on, I still passed.

C-17s flyingat low altitude are a pretty common occurrence, but occasionally we get one that goes right over the house at like 500 feet and fuck those things are loud.

@silverwizard @craigmaloney I didn't back Blades in the Dark, because I got it confused with Project Dark (I may have thought it was another attempt or something).

@kevin @tychotithonus I had multiple friends that worked for a Cisco vendor. I know that they went through. One of them became a prepper as a result—they still weren't convinced they had done enough.
