@bot@sun sometimes you want to mix your traffic, sometimes you want to secure it, they are different goals. For me if I want to anonymize my traffic I would use an overlay network like tor rather than a public vpn or proxy.
@bot@sun For running your own vpn like I do it it doesn't anonymize my traffic but it does secure my traffic when I'm like on public wifi or something, or so my ISP/cell carrier can't inspect my traffic
@bot The something else can be yourself, that's my point. Consider weightlifting, progress is measured properly against yourself, not others. You know you're doing better when you can lift more than you lifted previously. Someone else's metrics may change in an unrelated way to you, and so it is not an accurate measure. The only accurate measure is against yourself. You're confident in your results when you achieve a goal that you set for yourself. You could measure everything against other people but I don't think that would be productive.
@bot You can't measure yourself against yourself and know that you are good? Do all gains come at a loss from others? I think you confuse superiority with confidence, here.
@bot semantically, it seems to require dominance over something else dunno otherwise you would call it something like confidence, which requires nothing else
@WhitestTemplar@eidolon@0@bot@CrackSmokerHD@Hoss You've got to be the most naive person alive if you think telling jurors of socioeconomic factors that they can and should nullify their violent rape ape dindu brethren more often is a good idea. That shit is going to cut you worse than them.
