    As a 20 year old single male, I think it's very hard to find a girl who doesn't worship proprietary software and can understand that I only use free software and do not run proprietary software unless I'm getting paid to do so and it's on someone else's computer.

    I've heard girls jokingly ask to "Netflix and chill", but when I tell them I refuse to watch videos "on Netflix", even if it is not being run on my computer, as it is such a threat to freedom that I feel uncomfortable with legitimizing it in that way and ask them what movie(s) I should prepare for mpv playback in 100% freedom, they stop talking to me.

    What's worse, if they do stay, they see my 100% freedom computing setups and how all browsers are configured not to run proprietary JavaScript and how youtube.com redirects to an invidious instance and think I'm weird.

    Sometimes I get their numbers and I send them a greeting via SMS, also noting that I'm reachable over irc and email, with my gnupg key attached via MMS and instructions how to verify the key and they often mumble something about "green bubbles" and "Android", even though the message was sent via asterisk from Emacs.

    I clearly don't use dating sites as those require running proprietary software, plus none of them have any respect for privacy either.

    How come it is so hard to find a girl who is indifferent about software freedom, rather than dedicated to never achieving it?

    I feel like I'm going to be a wizard and then stay like that forever (but that may not be a bad thing).

    They don't even reason for a second, they just follow the trend of bullshit opinions some clown microceleb posted, this whole drama that they started with Alex that totally blew in their faces shows how much of a bunch of dirtbags and hypocrites most of them are, they push for shit that is antithesis to what the Fediverse and a free society stands for only for cheap lynching campaigns.

    Spend a few days on the Mastodon side and you'll find out they're tenfold toxic than any big Pleroma instance, that people is rotten, they'll accuse you of misogyny solely for engaging in discussion with them (they'll call you "reply guy"), they spend more time boosting posts bitching about $CURRENT_BAD_GUY/$CURRENT_BAD_THING (which right now happens to be Alex Gleason) than discussing whatever.


    And these people are the self-procclaimed "good side" of fedi.

    AOC removing her "preferred pronouns" is unironically a big deal, because she's not just a left-liberal, she's a lunatic Cultural Marxist whose been a rabid supporter of tranny rights until now. The Cultural Marxist goal has always been to make it obligatory for EVERYONE to list their "preferred pronouns", with a failure to doing so effectively outing them as Nazis, thus normalizing trannies and the whole concept of "gender identity".

    The fact that they not only failed to achieve that, but now can't even make some of the most unhinged progressives list their preferred pronouns anymore leaves trannies isolated and exposed.
