Probably not even 1%. I adhere to the practice that what's done is done. So get it right first time! This involves knowing exactly where you want to go and what you want to say. Or, alternatively, being happy for it to go where it goes.

Yesterday I was writing about biodiversity and its place (and importance) at the heart of any biological ecosystem.

Today I read that "biodiversity" is one of the words American institutions are busily scrubbing from their documentation and data bases as it is apparently regarded as a politically troublesome word.

If you want to survive these idiots I suggest you actively get off your ass because these people are certainly stupid enough to kill us all.

The UK govt has produced a "risk report" (187 pages long) for 2025 listing the likely threats to the UK for the year with probabilities for them happening, etc. One of these is a 60% likelihood of a significant and damaging heatwave in central, eastern or south-eastern England (minimum of five days in a row at over 35C).

The report emphasises "resilience" over actually doing anything to prevent the risks which basically means they don't give a shit.

Someone tried to drive a Cybertruck in the UK, where the car is illegal as it does not pass UK road safety laws, and immediately had the car impounded by police. The driver was themselves reported for their several illegalities in attempting this which included registering and insuring the car abroad.
