    The only time I was ever arrested was when I was 21 in 1979, for DUI in Santa Ana, CA. Spent the night in similar circumstance at the ol' Orange County Hilton. Lots of undesirables...one other guy was cool and got released OR in like 5 hours. $500 fine and a night in jail.

    Depends on yer skeel level. I've shot a few AR-10s, and I was surprised by the recoil.

    I have also shot Springfield M1A SOCOMs. Much softer recoil, same .308, Garand action (VERY nice).

    The SOCOMs are heavier and more expensive...by almost twice.

    Great gun.
