I think you might be right the current handheld market is very competitive, and decently repairable. So entering the market as a small company might be unwise.

Better color-coverage/hdr display, larger battery, faster charging, and a gaming handheld. Nothing suggesting LPCAMM2, but a person can dream... -

Writing can be frustrating, because it is long, tedious, and more importantly, defeating. I think one factor for me is the lack of direction and don't know how to recover if I reached a dead end.If this is indeed how you are feeling, I think it can be helpful to realize that this is the same frustration as many early researchers. Through time, you have become so familiar with your field and gained many intuitions on how to react in different situations, then research becomes more rewarding.
So just like research, I feel maybe you just need to push through it a bit, go to a coffee shop, library, set a ddl, just force yourself to face the writing. I personally feel that my writing eventually more purposeful after practices, and that makes the process more fun and efficient.
On the other hand, the "the next project" is waiting for you on the other side, which is always exciting. 😉

Doom lisp, where you program with vim keybindings instead of brackets. -

Assuming their implementation is solid, I actually see their system as a valid compromise moving forward. If they communicated that to me, and if I am using firefox, I probably will turn it on.However, the problem is that they never communicated this feature, which do require data collection about ad campaign, and just silently turning it on for all users.
When they are caught, they proceed to insult their user by saying, yeah, you don't like it just because you don't understand it. Even though they spend zero seconds educating their user about it, and communicating what does it do.
Although, I do appreciate they call it what it is "ad analytics", instead of google just slap on a random pretty name, like "privacy sandbox" for their analytics.
