Here's question for #Twitter refuges like myself: What does #Musk do when #Trump kicks him to the curb, as Trump will inevitably do, and probably sooner than later? Does he grovel and slink away? Does he decide Trump is the enemy, and rev up #X to revenge himself for his rejection? Or does he creep off to lick #Vance's toes, whispering about the #25thAmendment?

I voted early, October 31st. I still haven't taken off the I VOTED TODAY wristband I got that day. This evening my grandson asked if I wanted him to help cut it off. No, I said, I'll wear it 'til it falls off.

But he's a Trump supporter, in spite of being a highly educated lawyer. Haven't talked to him for a while; I wonder what he thinks of Trump proposing Mr. Brainworms for head of Health and Human Services.

@fivetonsflax Yeah, I need a haircut, and my barber cuts it just the way I like it, took a long time to find the right guy, but all the barbers in the shop are more or less bros, and I don't want to kill any of them.

@simsa03 Yes, I read Beagle, White, Tolkien, just a bit earlier. My Uncle Jim was a voracious reader. He bought and read books in paperback, and every so often, every month or too, he'd drop off a cardboard box of paperbacks he'd finished, and then I read them. This was late 60s, early 70s. Which was good, mom would only let me check out like ten books from the library every two weeks.

@simsa03 Bly was part of the generation of poets I started reading in the 70s. Kinnell, Plath, Simic, Levine, Rukeyser, Rich, Levertov, Berryman... some older, some younger, but more or less the same cohort. All dead now, I think.

By the way, some years ago during the Dubya regime, I proposed the Democrats and the Left were not insane enough, the GOP and the right wing were winning because they were willing to go insane to win. I thought our side needed more insanity, in short an Insanity Front. People thought I was joking.
