Every time I go back to Japan, I realize that the home where I grew up is in such an insanely convenient location. It's literally within ONE MINUTE WALK from all the following:

* Train station, from which it's a 10-min train ride to downtown Kobe ("Sannomiya").
* Bus stop, from which it's a 10-min bus ride to the nearby shopping mall.
* Post office
* Three convenience stores (7-Eleven, Family Mart and Lawson)
* Park

Headed for the airport. I really wish we had express trains between Northgate and Sea-Tac, with fewer stops. It's absurd that a 20 mile trip takes an hour by train. An express train in Osaka covers the same distance in about 30 minutes.

Looks like my daughter had an influenza. She was miserable yesterday, with a 103+ degree fever. All I could do was give her a cold patch and hold her hands as she lay on the bed breathing heavily, trying to get some sleep. It broke my heart.

She is MUCH better today. I'm so glad. #DadLife
