I've often wondered why the search results on these sites are so bad, but ever since I tried to add search to Emacs Wiki I realized that it really is a problem that I can't solve in a few hours or days of coding, and so I'm also relying on a search engine (DDG) to provide search for Emacs Wiki.
If only there was an easy solution to plug in (that doesn't require me to install the whole Lucene infrastructure), that also works with my particular setup. Emacs Wiki hosts pages in multiple languages, all in the same namespace, so per language stop words and canonicalization and all that need more fiddling.

@isotopp Ich frage mich bei solchen Aussagen immer, ob Autoren wie @fingolas eingerechnet haben, dass jede Mastodon Instanz, welche einen Post zu sehen bekommt, mindestens einen Request macht, um eine Vorschau zu generieren. Diese muss man anhand des User Agents natürlich raus rechnen. Im Graph ist die Y Achse leider nicht beschriftet. Sofern es sich da um Zahlen im drei- bis vierstelligen Bereich handelt, ist die Anzahl der Instanzen, welche eine Vorschau wollen, evtl. signifikant.
Die Engangement Nummern sind von dieser Anmerkung natürlich ausgenommen.

Yesterday my wife read that in France people retire at 60 (no longer true, sadly, if I read Wikipedia correctly) where as in Switzerland, we just raised the retirement age for women from 64 to 65. I just saw that the Netherlands has 68! ?

Got a taster of Vietnamese red tea from the friendly owner of Rauch’s tea shop in Solothurn. The problem with new tea is that sometimes you don’t know how to prepare it. I let it steep for too long and it was too bitter for me. Second and third steeping were more to our liking.

Red tea of foreign land
I did not understand
Went by what I knew
