@Shadowman311 Its connotation is repulsively Marxist but its incredibly revealing too. Theres The Truth followed by "the truth". "The truth" is what you can get every one to agree on. "The truth" about the founding fathers is that they were all the greatest minds of their generation coming together in harmony and brotherhood to hammer out a Constitution blessed with divine mandate specifically to create the greatest country on earth. THE TRUTH is that a bunch of college educated guys (when it meant something) got together specifically to try and hammer out a Constitution that wouldn't fuck everyone so hard, using what few tools and ideas they had specifically so they could keep growing tobacco and fucking squaws. Some might have had nobler ideals, some might have been a little less than honest but they did what they could agree on.
