@thebitchisback Random Tidbit: Some doctor said that should havent even happened, because potatoes are not native to Ireland. They were introduced from the Americas and the Irish got hooked to it, especially the poorer ones.

It's crazy how many Irish died from that.

@cvnt I would argue no, as corrupt and dilapidated much of African society is, there is a little bit of fellow feeling amongst neighbours and incompetence amongst the corrupt.

Compare that with the worst Hindu criminals.

I mean fricking Lawrence Bishnoi is a lawyer/law school graduate.

Hindus seem to know better, but don't do better. Despite never being enslaved as a minority, having a strong history of achievement in commerce and the sciences, and were treated is near-white almost wherever they immigrate.

DiamondMind has a point, and I admit my bias for Africa and being an apologist for it and its woes.

@DiamondMind I would say them temperature is up, and they are fanning the flames.

My family has been affected by Indians negatively about once a month for the past 6 months for various things like banking, hotel and lodging, following my wife around the store and other crap.

And every single time one of them apologized and/or corrected their mistake. I noticed 1 of 2 things.

1) They were not Hindu (they were Sikh or Muslim)

2) They had a white spouse/partner.

Mass immigration and lax immigration from India has been too fast. The newer ones need more time to acclimate to Canadian standards, which isn't that hard because we are quite a muliticultural society.

Outside family mishaps, I hear murmurings too.

As a non-white Canadian, I have found that Canadians don't mind too much if youre foreign, or too much if you are "well to do" i.e. own property, or too much if you are a dick/bitch.

But if you are all three - Foreign + Rich + an asshole -that makes Euro-Canadians pissed as fuqq, and racial tirades will gush out under the influence of alcohol.

@p All that being true, that's a slash in our eyes because we have been mass importing immigrants like myself for over 30 years.

And it's just a "plan", plans happen when elections are around the corner.

The announcement itself shocks me, a year ago he wouldn't be caught dead saying that.

It was considered "unCanadian" by the mainstream, and already refugee groups and organizations are being pissed at him.

Translation: The announcement itself is a measure of how unpopular he is and how desperate our liberal party is to win the next election, not that Canada is "righting the ship".

It also probably means that his cabinet and everything he has touched is a bigger crime scene than we already suspect.

Plus the article hasn't said it was accidental or from her own negligence.

Those things are usually determined early on.
