@Network btw, actually reading through it, it seems this is classic disinformation, journos do what journos do, if you needed more reason to hate them, they published this for the pure reason of blackpilling and making the Clergy look dumb.
THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT THEY HAVE TO WORK WITH HERE, LITERALLY EXTRAPOLATED THE REST, THIS IS THE ONLY QUOTE THEY SOURCED. now either they made the "for reference" shit up, and extrapolated this to get the headline, or a cleric either said it and they didn't quote it, now it doesn't take a genius to conclude it probably is the former.
whether a cleric admitted it or not, this is to be disregarded, if they did, then they should have quoted them, and the fact that this is the only thing they are working with means it's certainly disinformation, this is objective journalistic failure, and the fact that it's not illegal to do this is bewildering.
and notice how he says "Some", if it really was used as reference, wouldn't you think ALL would have watched it? not even "Most", this is "Some", in the CINEMA, AKA, they watched it PRIVATELY, in their own free time.
they just watched it, not *for actual pointers mind you*, there's a lot of newer cardinals who are not familiar with the process, but they are definitely not using it as a reference.
granted, i did not watch it myself, so i don't really know what it conveys and how myself. they just know that they watched it, the reasons why they would are numerous, but it's pretty much guaranteed that it's not to "learn the process". the biggest reason would be obvious personal interest, this movie is being shown, and it's about YOU, and the CHURCH, it is pretty much guaranteed they viewed it super Critically, the only "pointer" or educational resource this serves as, is PR research, aka "how do Laymen and non-Catholics view the Church?"
frens, be careful of blatant disinfo, remember, they do not view you as friends. put everything they say relating to our Faith to the utmost Scrutiny. Whenever you see them, uncover Falsehoods and Rumors about our Lord as what they are.
@BowsacNoodle@eris@Marakus Praise the Lord! I had grown up never knowing about Christ, just hearing about him every now and then, but never really thinking of him much.
When i reached a breaking point of sin and hopelessness in my life, God gave me a taste of his Love, and it's so beautiful, it is so amazing i can't even imagine how i lived like that anymore, i remember it but it feels so alien now, it's like i knew for my entire Life God was there and that he loved me, i just failed to see it back then.
Picrel, this is how Baptism in the Holy Spirit feels like
@eris@BowsacNoodle since you studied, then tell me about the things that the Bible teaches that contradicts a different part, where the overall "wisdom" of it is inconsistent, or where it doesn't add up. it is a collection of books written by a lot of different people in vastly different times, and seeing as you think it isn't the truth then it must mean that it has inconsistencies or at least a little incoherence with it.
also tell me about the aspects of the Lords teachings that cannot be explained/elaborated that doesn't tie back to the general human experience, or tell me how the bibles teachings are outdated?
both of us never met Jesus in the Flesh, so neither of us have "proof" that he either exists or doesn't exist.
btw did you know the bible specifically mentions this?
Matthew 16:4
"An evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” Then he left them and went away.
