@RamenCatholic 9 years ago when I moved to Connecticut, we had 6 snow days where it was impossible to commute in to work, we're talking several inches of snow falling in hours. When I left 2 years ago, there was no snowfall that winter. That's how fast the climate crisis is moving.

I haven't updated about my ankle in a while. Since the cortisone injection and a course of oral steroids, my ankle has been fully recovered! I have a day here or there of stiffness, like today, but those are few and far between. :bigfoot:

@RamenCatholic Here in Ohio we just got the recreational market opened up last year with a 10% tax on top of sales tax. In this year's budget, the legislature has decided that they need to double that to 20%. Yeah. I can't afford that!

For those outside the US. please remember, only about 1/3 of the voting age population voted for this president. About 1/3 of us voted for Harris. And 1/3 didn't or couldn't vote.

I live in a Dem heavy city in a Republican state. We are marching, we are calling our representatives and senators, we are boycotting, we are doing all the things we can to change this. So please don't paint us all with the same brush. Please don't say "USians believe..." because we don't. Please don't say "Red states..." because we aren't a cohesive "red" in any state.
