@multiverseofbadness ima sell stuff. But it’s gonna be a hodge lodge of things because I’ve been making stuff for eons. A lot of it is digital that’ll be print on demand prints or stickers and such and that aspect was causing me much consternation.

Other stuff like zines and paintings that already exist could have gone on a ko-fi shop (and still might) but all the digital stuff was going to pose a problem.

Chances are I’m overthinking this by 1000000000 percent.

don't get me wrong, every artist has an archive of work that they can and should get money from. this would qualify as "passive income" since the work existed for years and anything sold from it would be profit for the artist.

however...

the intentions behind those years of production were usually not about shotgun blasting loads of shit onto the market all at once in the hopes of "capturing sales" or "80/20" or other inane jargon.

people rant about AI destroying artists' livelihoods when these mofos were well into it long before AI came along.

AI in the past was just cheap labor dished out to desperate people in disadvantaged parts of the world. (Fiverr - i'm looking at you!)

@BeAware no, we have a flat panel but it’s not really used other than for the kid’s video games.

If I’m watching anything it’s usually on my computer or tablet. But when I’m really in a mood I do have an old tv from the 90s in my basement so I can hook up the VCR and watch all of my old X-files tapes

I’ve never been able to adjust to anything past console TVs. Flat panel TVs are aesthetic terrorism.

i've never been into sports but because my brother was i amassed a huge amount of baseball cards by force.

it was the 80s and basically every baseball card was/is worthless but i remember spending hours and hours going through Beckett's pricing guides desperately hoping that i somehow had something worth something.

my point is, i have a lot of worthless baseball cards.
