I couldn't stay there on principle: that my engagement fueled a machine that was responsible for Cambridge Analytica, contributed to the genocide of the Rohingya people in Myanmar, and of course, their absolute capitulation to the current regime here in the states.

I can live without an algorithm, but I can't live very well knowing I'm supporting just flat-out evil.

Some friends tried Mastodon, but went back to FB because it's what they knew, and it's where all their connections are.

I'm glad you're here. Your art posts are a highlight for me. I have met so many cool and decent people here on the Fedi, and I'm not leaving.
