Been having some neck and shoulder pain. Doc suggested ice, Voltaren, and a heating pad
None of the heating pads in the house sit quite properly to be effective. They're also bulky and the power cords attach at the most inconvenient place
Turns out my heated vest is perfect for the task at hand. The heated neck element makes all the difference when walking the dog on a cold winter morning, and the double-duty heating pad is a nice bonus

For everyone who didn't know such things existed and now want to buy one...
I did tens of hours of research on heated clothing a few years back and couldn't be happier with my Ororo vest. Many of their other products underwhelm (their gloves suck) but the vests/jackets are fantastic. I've gifted a few and everyone raves
Make sure you get one with the heated neck element, and if you buy an open stock clearance item (it's end-of-season sale time) check to see that it includes the battery

Looks like they make larger sizes. I don't think they accept returns, but they will exchange sizes if you don't buy an open box product
I'm wear a small so I can't vouch for how well they work for larger folks, but the reviews from men who bought 3xl and above are mostly positive. This is the link to the men's version of the vest I own. [I have no affiliation with the company other than being a very satisfied customer]
