Why does the US suck at competitive shooting events? Easy. Competition is about quality, not quantity.

For the first time in my life, I'm experiencing the Olympic Games outside of the limitations of network television, and I've got to say it's a lot of fun. I'm not stuck watching gymnastics and basketball. I'm watching handball, volleyball, water polo, field hockey, ping-pong, rugby -- all the stuff that doesn't carry ratings. Really liking how Peacock is doing this thing.

@BluesHarp Unfortunately, he actually is a victim this time. The scary thing is, now he can play at being the martyr. I believe it’s going to galvanize his cult into believing that they need to resort to violence from here forward.

Going to be a lot of talking heads going off half-cocked on this attempt on the Angry Yam’s life. I’m not saying anything about him or the shooter. Really, if you know me at all then you already know what I’m thinking.

I am worried how this will be used in his campaign. If you thought we were living in dark times, I worry that it’s about to get a whole lot darker.

The forward of The Painted Bird by Jerzy Kosinski is amazing. Combining the story of Kosinksi’s life after the publication of the book would make an excellent movie. It has EVERYTHING.

(Also, although I respect the way Judge Marchan has carefully avoided grounds for appeal, if I were him I'd expend all my accumulated moral capital at sentencing, by creating a record listing every bad thing Trump has ever done then sentencing him to immediately begin serving at least 4.5 years in a real prison, making it impossible for him to act as President even if reelected without SCOTUS stepping in again.)
