@asa @hakui @lain @rin Perhaps they are ignorant of the crime in Japan? Japanese police like to keep things more hushed up, especially when trying to solve crimes in the past. In the west, this stuff gets plastered on the news. It can go viral. But then again, only if it fits a certain narrative. There was a lot hushed up here, still is to some extent. The victims were blamed for being raped, like it is a lifestyle choice for teenage girls. Sickening.

@rin @hakui @lain I forgot to mention that our prisons are so full that they basically let out about 1700 prisoners I think that were serving less than 5 years. They are looking to move more out onto the streets that are meant to serve longer sentences next. They are so bad at solving crime here that you can forget justice. There are minority groups that can basically get away with organised crime and rape here because of the race card, sooo....
