Another American mass shooting. This ain't nothing to what's coming. :(

One of my favourite dawn shots on this beach. This faces west, so the sun rises behind from this view. The sand dunes keep the beach in shade until the sun rises high enough to light the entire beach. I wish I had done a time lapse. You can watch the water light up, with the line of the sun moving towards you as the sun continues to rise. :)

I used to have no respect for people who didn't vote. Now I have abject contempt for them.

My fellow is back to playing music instead of watching the news.

Sigh, so much easier on stress levels. Highly recommend.

It is mindboggling that people are voting for a rapist and felon.

Made my fellow turn off US election stuff. I can't handle there being so many incredibly stupid or vile people. A rapist conman, who has been threatening to turn US into a dictatorship, who has a hit list of people he wants to murder and imprison...in the name of god and owning the libs.

I know, the "red mirage," but holy cats.

Anyway, may sanity prevail.

@ScribblersEmporium @persagen Luddites isn't the right word. And luddite doesn't mean what most think it means. There are a lot of other adjectives for that arrogant, wilfully-ignorant, power-hungry, science-illiterate, xenophobic, religious zealot, short-sighted, piece of crap. ;)

It really is a crime that Alberta wasn't taking advantage of its oil wealth to plan ahead and be a world leader in green energy. It was an amazing opportunity that they just let lapse.

@wdjorth @persagen @FatherEnoch Yep. They snuck god into our anthem without any consultation or referendum when our anthem was made official, changing it from an anthem to a bloody church hymn. Haven't sung it since.

It's like the US putting god on their money in the 50s. Big by bit, normalize the crap. :(

These politicians are following the GOP by creating non issues to "fix" while not fixing actual issues.
