I’m in the market for a new e-ink ebook reader not from Amazon or any other book reseller.

I found Boox, and they look slick. But I’m having a hard time finding anything helpful in identifying what other options there are.

So help me out, #FOSS and non-proprietary #ebook fans. What should I look at?

But I like it here and will continue to post cool things here and follow cool people here, and do the other things as we continue to make this a cool place for we who care less about scale and more about about the quality of content, connections, and conversations.

But I’m like a 14-y-o boy and kinda can’t stop myself. I weep for what we’ve clearly lost. Lost with eyes wide open.

I’m not sure enough of us believe in this experiment, rationality, or a better tomorrow. I may feel differently once the dust settles, but I’m seriously running out of optimism. That means I’ll default to self-preservation mode without a big change.

I hope it doesn’t come to that, but…

Do you give any shits at all about the “Achievement” badges? I stopped caring about gamification in apps when I stopped checking in to beers in Untappd in 2018, so these are meaningless to me.

This is why I don’t play the stock market.

Boeing has parts falling off planes, is incapable of bringing two people home from the ISS, and now can’t keep a satellite in orbit orbit.

Their stock closed up today. 🤦
