dog is back at the vet today

going on an even more expensive diet and tomorrow he gets to do an ultrasound that will be $450-900 🤡

they told me it was optional but like, how am I gonna not in case he ate something he shouldn’t have? 😭

on the upside: apparently insurance is covering $575 of his last vet appointment? 🤡

finally got into one of the community health worker trainings at oregon state university today! 🙌

CHWs are a type of "traditional health worker" (alongside peer support specialists) in oregon. they are "frontline public health workers" connecting people in the community to health and social services resources.

the program isn't until april through june but I am hoping that afterwards, I can volunteer with the local street medicine crew or something here in town!

I'm sure I'll get better at this over time but I'm planning Monday through Wednesday this week and it's taking HOURS

going through the booklet my dietitian gave me and I've been "to plan" since Friday but it takes so much work 🥲

well I picked up some low-dose wegovy from the pharmacy this morning 🫠

going to take the first dose tonight, am already dreading it

(it made me extremely nauseated the last time I tried it, RIP)

took my first .25mg dose and

1. wow the wegovy pen is so much better than the mounjaro pen, which is literally a spring-loaded needle

2. send thoughts and prayers because the nausea was no joke last time, truly

weird question but: I ride a tern HSD most of the time now, which can't just be thrown on the front of a bus if it breaks

I have the most flat-resistant tires available and both AAA and better world club! but I still worry about what I would do if my bike broke down and they were ~hours~ away, because no one I know afk owns a truck, SUV, or mini van that could carry it with the seats down

first stop is clinton because these days of course it is 😂

second stop is the kiln coworking space, because I’ve been debating getting a drop-in membership somewhere

but ☹️ there is almost no bike parking and I hate leaving my bike parked along the busy street

not making a great first impression and that alone might make it a no for me!
