this morning, I was wearing a north face thermoball jacket

which is the jacket I wore all last winter

and though it was only in the 40s outside, I was cold

and it’s only EARLY OCTOBER

anyway someone convince me not to buy a puffer jacket please

more specifically, this puffer jacket which will probably make me look like the michelin man

missing my old lovesac rn tbh

@ryanc there are a lot of cleaning channels on youtube! I don't watch any particular ones but the one I've been watching this week (midwest magic cleaning) is a good one to start with because it runs the gamut of cleanliness and he also gives shoutout to a lot of other channels throughout his vids

I grew up in a house that, in retrospect, I would not call "clean" or "well-kept"

but I didn't realize ~how~ bad my childhood home was until my late 20s and how it was skewing my perception of how I treated my own space

so over the past couple of years, I have spent SO MUCH TIME taking notes on other people's apartments and watching cleaning videos like I'm learning how to adult for the first time 😂

anyway I realized today that I've become the person who takes the trash out everyday

regardless of what it is

even though I'm just a single person

and isn't that what we call ~personal growth~ ✨

growing up, we took the trash out ~at most~ when the can was full, and often it just piled up around the can for days 🫠

@emilygorcenski when I saw my current PCP for the first time, he asked me how tall I was, and I said "I don't know"

which was technically true (had never been measured) but I'm sure a guess would have sufficed

somehow he was unphased by a 30-year-old not knowing how tall they were 😂

it is not so loud that I worry about running it next to my computer during zoom calls with no headphones
