Years ago I added the following lines to my .env file:

#Go one directory over in same subdir system/
g () {
cd ../$1
}

#Go TWO directories up and over
gg () {
cd ../../$1
}

Added Bonus: with the "." argument,, these commands just jump up a level or two. They don't save a lot of keystrokes individually, but considering how often I perform those operations, they add up quickly.

My first attempts at beer brewing used 2 burners under a giant pot on my stove. I quickly had an attack of good sense and bought an outdoor gas burner. Time to boil went from an hour to 20 minutes.

That's amateur. When I was laid off back in the day, I scored a stapler, about all the pens, half the automatic pencils, and several reams of copy paper.

I think the Statute of Limitations has long run out on that tho.
