My new boss is a 29 year old former graduate, absolutely hates his job, doesn't want to be here and is never around. He just leaves me to get on with things. Does exactly what I say and doesn't question anything. I'm 57 and he's hands down the best manager I've ever had

@fesshole good man. Do him a solid and tell him you need an assistant, by the time it’s trained you’ll be on the way out and he still won’t have to be there.

A manager's primary job is to protect you from other managers.
