@icedquinn does... what flashes? i am having a hard time remembering, a gui terminal emulator flashes on linux? does the console flash?

putty doesn't "flash" but it will pop your taskbar and blink, and the window title does something.

if i have to go into the back of the house to poke my ubuntu laptop, i will.
