Wow, gotta love this country.

No one mentions whether it's fair for the poor to pay for rich people's tax cuts. No one asks if it's fair for the youth to pay for boomer lifestyles in extortionate rents.

But the moment a vehicle to lift people out of poverty - education - might be reduced in cost, it's a "burden on taxpayers".

The only burden on taxpayers are the rich and the companies they work for, who unapologetically evade tax, and the ATO let's them

The reason for obfuscating the right to self-determination is that Israel is constantly in violation, on thousands of grounds, of Palestine's right to self-determination.

This is on top of their illegal occupation of Palestine; which moots the other, oft quoted, "Israel has a right to self-defence".

I keep seeing the phrase "Israel has a right to exist" thrown around a lot of late, and it's a new meme that is grounded in nothing.

No nation "has a right to exist".

It's a nonsense statement with no international law or obligations to back it up.

If nations "have a right to exist", then countries like East Germany, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, the list goes on, would all have been forced to remain a thing.

This is a deliberate distortion, and replacement, of the right to self-determination
