I thought it was made of cucumber, at first, but I was amazed to discover that ampalaya, when done right, actually makes for a good pickled veggie.

I'm picky when it comes to fruits, which is a tragedy considering the many varieties in this tropical country where I live. My usual faves are ripe mangoes and pineapple. That's why I'm so glad to discover my love for mangosteen, which now makes it to my top three faves. 🥰

Hahaha! I get what you mean by moving to rural areas. I still entertain that thought once in a while, but perhaps not so rural. I still need some semblance of urban life, but yeah, city life can get exhausting sometimes.
