People don't really need to search for their precincts every #ElectionsPH, it's in the Voter's ID card.

Why is it that Filipinos don't have a Voter's ID when it's part of registration? They forgot to pick it up or lost it?

@mk_rexx Interesting! When I registered before, it was mandatory. Only the lamination was optional. 😅 (Apparently, they don't have a budget for lamination. 🤷🏽)

@youronlyone Voter's ID is entirely optional and is not part of my registration

@luthien1126 I guess it depends on the branch. It's weird because the COMELEC branch here in Makati (used to be in the Makati Central Fire Department building) sometime early 00s, it was part of the process. The only thing that was not included was the lamination. 😅 According to them, lamination wasn't part of the budget. 🤷🏽

LOL. They need to be consistent! It's a useful government ID too! Recognized for international online verification as well, not like UMID and the National ID, I've encountered services that won't accept those.

@youronlyone I was never issued a voter's ID when I registered decades ago. Same case for my husband and the rest of my family.

The only thing issued to me was a flimsy slip of paper with my registration details, so I suppose it's the same case for the others.

A voter's ID should be automatically issued upon registration, but we live in the PH, so...

@youronlyone @luthien1126 which ones do not accept PhilSysID as that is a violation.

@rpf International, not local. Since they're not updated with countries such as ours, it's easier to use Voter's ID since it's well recognized. @luthien1126
