Interesting fact:

I tried packaging as AppImage using tool to convert nix packages into ones.

This idea was killed by the same issue nix itself has outside of nixos - OpenGL/Vulkan drivers that cannot be used as usual isolated nix dependencies, and you need separate utility to force usage of system libraries on executables from nix repositories.

Which I guess confirms that AppImage is just an archive with whatever you put into it.

Currently, paid source-availible aseprite is way more featureful than libresprite.

But libresprite is still a good simple editor, and a better way of legally getting "free aseprite" than building from source or finding old builds.

P.S. Proprietary relicensing is a bad taste, but I think it's not THAT bad when source is still available and software stays a fair indie thing with one-time buying and not turning into ad/spyware. I personally build aseprite from source myself since nixos allows automating it and I find it useful enough it to sacrifice time and cpu usage during updates.

@critical @icedquinn I remembered a documentary about group of bandits operating in soviet city, who were thought to be foreign agents, because they used firearms that was nearly impossible to buy or smuggle, until they were catched and apparently they were just some people who were smart enough to design their own guns and make parts in a basement and on a local factory equipment (they asked some help from fellow factory worker friends, just disguised parts with adding additional stuff on them so it wasn't obvious that it's a gun parts)

@ezio BTW I actually saw a person on fedi who specifically really liked detailed graphics in games and kind of disliked "graphics are not important" people. That person is an artist.

Can you please explain what's your issue, @hj? You were told an issue with your post, and you didn't provide any reason except "that's default" despite you presumably being the one who can change that, and the only reason you didn't is [something about technical details of Mastodon using labels improperly and that becoming a de-facto standard in mastodon-compatible software] and [Alt text weren't a thing in 2017].

As of now, I only see that you were called an asshole for a reason, and your only response is to actually start acting like an asshole.

Small correction - The issue isn't that you didn't change the default and didn't implement something, the issue is that you plainly refuse to acknowledge that as an issue and your only arguments for that are arguments against specific implementation of that, and when people become mad such replies, you just think that you are now justified to being asshole to them.

- Some idiot saw a drawing of two clothed girls kissing and reported it as "Child porn" to Cloudflare, which proxied instance it was on.
- Cloudflare redirected that report to Hetzner (hosting provider) and some anti-child-abuse agency without properly checking
- Hetzner also didn't check the report and immideately demanded admins of instance to take down the whole instance in 24 hours or they will block their account.
- Hetzner didn't properly address their mistake in conversation and continued to demand site takedown, saying that nsfw is not allowed (pic was very much sfw)
- Only after public backlash from fedi people Hetzner stopped demanding instance takedown and instead just told to delete the picture anyway.
- People have also learned that a lot of providers don't allow nsfw content which is suboptimal for a lot of people and a lot of instances don't comply with that.

In short - Both services automatically process reports without human checking, and even when an actual customer service got involved they also don't really care unless it becomes bad rep, and this caused issues when abuse report was completely bullshit.
