Tell you what, a number of the people publishing "official" re-releases to which they've "bought the rights" do not appear to have the correct rights at all, but merely a trademark (which of course does not confer copyright or license to reproduce, port or sell the actual software).

Which means that exactly this is happening.

So the answer is "you get to make money off the back of other people's work" (including the efforts of the pirates whose dr-DRM'd copies are in several cases (cough) Ziggurat (cough) are now being sold.

Ooh, this is a good one.

I don't think humanity 'deserves' anything per se, but living things ought to have the opportunity to flourish, and that includes the individuals that make up humanity.

I think most people could be better and happier under different conditions, and am, I suppose, optimistic enough to believe that its something that could be realised to all except those most dedicated to the oppression of others.

The fact that so many humans (and other animals, and natural systems) are constantly subject to harm, coercion, and the denial of choice at the hands of others is unacceptable to me.

I don't know that I'm trying to make the world a better place very effectively - I tend to pick small, personal battles, tiny causes that only affect a handful of people, and am demonstrably less reliable and effective on the big picture. But I try to be kind and to protect others. I've failed a lot over the years.

Spite is a powerful motivator. You can go a long way on spite. Spite can help you survive. It's not my primary reason for trying to improve things, but I suppose I would like to help make the kind Utopia my ideological opponents would detest.

And everything I do is in service to being the kind of person I want to be. I'm a continuous work of self-improvement, having started from a rather shitty place. If I can't try to fix myself, what chance have I at helping to repair and nourish anything else?

They're so incredibly close. In the last year, thanks to vast efforts of pulling together personal funds, they've received gender affirming surgery and have completed the process of changing their name and gender marker, as well as updating their ID, medical and banking details, all that stuff.

They're currently off fedi due to intensely difficult personal circumstances, but you can have a look at the beginnings of their portfolio account at @supernovacircus. They are also available to take art commissions via their Ko-Fi inbox.

They've done commissioned work for me and I can vouch for their identity, so please feel free to DM me if you require any confirmation that this is a genuine person with a pressing need for financial assistance.

En revanche, les opinions sur la transidentité restent nettement moins favorables puisque seuls 41,9 % des femmes et 31,6 % des hommes de 18-69 ans estiment que la transidentité est une identité comme une autre. Contrairement aux précédentes enquêtes, l’attirance pour une personne de même sexe est plus souvent avouée aujourd’hui parmi les personnes interrogées.

En 2023, 13,4 % des femmes et 7,6 % des hommes de 18-89 ans déclarent avoir été attirés par des personnes de même sexe au cours de leur vie. Des chiffres nettement plus élevés chez les jeunes de 18-29 ans, avec 32,3 % pour les femmes et 13,8 % parmi les hommes. Quant à la transidentité, l’enquête rappelle qu’en 2023, une personne sur mille a entrepris des démarches pour changer de genre tandis que 2,3 % des femmes et 2,4 % des hommes confessent avoir pensé à changer de genre.
