#OneHitWonder is an incredibly difficult #TuneTuesday category, because most of the one hit wonders I like had a successful single chart hit in the context of a much longer career.

This is pretty close, though, as gothic pop-rock outfit Shakespears Sister was riven by interpersonal conflict between Siobhan Fahey and Marcella Detroit, as well as Fahey's struggles with both depression and industry ageism meant that the group disbanded just as they achieved recognition.

@Dace this was a video Nuclear Blast put out for a Type O Negative song from a bunch of previously unreleased tracks put out last year. (The tracks were just old recordings, no apparent AI nonsense.)

It LOOKED like it was in animated style (I didn't click through) and the thumbnail still didn't even look like Peter Steele, but anyway. Totally could have HIRED AN ANIMATOR for this by all appearances.

Anyway, they don't seem to have pulled anything of the sort since, and I hope it was a one-off failed attempt at a bandwagon jump.

@alienmelon I think there's a widespread absolute failure to parse that one of the worst aspects of sexual assault is the treatment one receives afterwards, mostly by people who seem to have convinced themselves that they are compassionate, empathetic and helpful allies.

Even when its consequences of so visibly dramatic as what was thrust upon you.
