His Grace, the Duke of Ankh, Commander Sir Samuel “Sam” Vimes has passed peacefully today. We managed to get a few more months after his chronic kidney disease progressed to stage 4 earlier this year, but we knew he was on borrowed time. He spent the last two weeks looking for secluded spaces in the house to sleep during the day, and we knew it was time to let him go. He truly was the best boy.
I was exposed to an Android 15 phone, and it was the most "damn, you live like this" experience I've ever had since the time I had to use Windows 10 after more than 15 years of desktop Linux.
I had to look "how to turn off the phone" in the help, because long press on the power button now brings up the chatbot assistant, and there's no affordance in the UI that lets me know I have two swipe the screen twice to access the quick settings.

The setting exists already, and it can be toggled in the CLI and using apps like Tweaks and Refine. The discussion in the merge request is: 1. disable by default and 2. add the toggle somewhere that's easy to find
The piss babies on the green site forum whining about the reduced motion setting, wanking themselves to death with "animations are inefficient I disable all of them", or going straight to "people with disabilities should not use computers", like the absolute dickheads they are
