@cassidy Yeah, sure that's possible, but… You used to be able to set a delay in the #Gnome screenshot tool, didn't you? Maybe this is still possible in the cli? It's too bad if this feature has been removed altogether.

@forteller huh, this stumped me. I figured Shift+PrntScr would still work, but it doesn't. It's not ideal, but you can record the screen, then open the resulting recording and use the menu item (or Ctrl+Alt+S) to take a “screenshot” or frame grab from the video.

@forteller @cassidy It looks like the recommendation is to install gnome-screenshot:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/7720
(I deleted an earlier reply as it was complete nonsense).

@rohare @cassidy I guess I'll have to go the screen recording route if I want to go trough with my idea of making a mockup of how I think the Alt+Tab in Gnome should work in the future… At the same time I feel like it's so unlikely that this will actually change anything, that I don't know if I should spend my time on it… :/

@forteller @cassidy Hmm, yes, `gnome-screenshot` is archived:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/gnome-screenshot/-/blob/master/README.md
I'm not sure if there are any decent Gnome screenshot tools. The last time I used Shutter it was definitely not working under Wayland. Maybe Flameshot?

@ebassi @cassidy You're right. I was confusing them. But I tried installing the old one to do this, but it wouldn't work, unfortunately

@forteller @cassidy it wasn't "removed": it was never implemented in the first place. You're confusing the old gnome-screenshot utility with the shell screenshot functionality that replaced it five years ago
