The Reuters Institute for the Study of #Journalism has no functioning #RSS feeds and is only present on closed social media platforms. How am I supposed to take organizations seriously?

If you're claiming to work on figuring out a future for quality journalism, get a frickin' RSS feed and at least experiment with platforms beyond big tech! It's not rocket science!

Should we allow #Threads to join the #Fediverse? So far I've argued that trying to shut the doors of what aims to be an open and inclusive network would be contradictory to the spirit of decentralized social media, and thus a step in the wrong direction. But reading @kissane's excellent reflection on the topic, and her compilation of horrors that should rightfully undermine anyone's expectation that #Meta is pursuing this path for any other purpose than extracting value from the Fediverse, gives me pause. @ryanc That's nuts. It's time for US & EU airports to withdraw landing licenses for airlines that discriminate against passengers based on gender. Pretty sure that would change things in an instance. #GenderRights @Bundesverband @Bundesregierung
