@WarnerCrocker Replaced an old Intel Mini with a MBAir M4 last month, keeping the big 32" screen. One day my dock and app switcher jumped to the MBAir screen which when I’m home is set up as an second extended display.

WTF is this madness? Oh. It's a feature that cannot be turned off. If you slam the mouse pointer to the bottom of one screen, the dock et all jumps to the other. But not consistently.

Enragening! Same for the one that if you drag a window too fast (I think, as I can’t reliably reproduce it) the window size explodes. Grrr.

@steter It snowed last time I was in Portland, about 2-3" of slushy. Luckily I didn’t have to contend with hills between my customer and the hotel in my rental minivan… but goddam nobody there knows how to drive in snow in the first place.

@steter @darkling the “extremely good” part is somewhat relevant for professional employ as a classical musician eg in a symphony. Competition is insane. I was decent but never near pro level. Yr basic wedding quartet grinding out The Four Seasons for the thousandth time, yeah I could get that work. Which pays nothing. And I hate that piece anyway.

But yeah I’m sure orchestras are no strangers to nepo babies and who-ya-knows.

@darkling @steter oh wow. That’s great. I also plan to pick it up again once I'm retired. Played for about 12 years thru early uni. But unless you are extremely good and even more extremely lucky, it's not a career, so I had to focus on other things.
