@kaia I mean, by that notion, why didn't they go to Tumblr? Some did. Some went to co-host too. But the mass is going to follow the influencers, news stations and corpo-accounts, and those that did leave Twitter, went to Bluesky.
Also, I don't buy Bluesky actually wants federation, the protocol is difficult to host and I don't think it scales well.
@zonk@kaia@Erpel I was more thinking of the braindead designs that have lithium cells, but no charging circuit/port. The "street lithium" you can pick of the sidewalk in places, because people just drop them.
@kaia Backup the ebay listing and your transaction receipt. Worst they can do, is claim you payed the wrong person, which eBay's internal tracking should prevent.
@kaia I remember a romcom story, where a vampire nurses their partner to optimal health, to experience the perfect tasting blood. But I can't find it now. :sadcat:
@Erpel@kaia I wonder if companies would min/max their stores, so that totals round up most of the time. I think Germans would protest on the "higher cost". The Dutch and Finnish can have nice things, partly because people there respect others more. Or so I think.
@kaia Feeder + RSS/Atom is the way to go. There are plenty of feeds for news sites and topics, that come in RSS format, so you generally don't need a server.
@kaia I backup that folder using Syncthing and restored it multiple times by now on non-GAPPS, non-microg ROMs. WA works surprisingly well without Google.
@kaia@MartinaNeumayer I'm guessing you made a local backup in Whatsapp, then copied "/storage/emulated/0/Android/media/com.whatsapp/Whatsapp" And set up the new whatsapp? It doesn't store it in the usual "Android/data" folder.
