@Piss_Ant @mushroom_soup Why?
But also, why?

@Decayable More likely they threw out any generated images if it was a minority, which is implied by how they already felt the need to include an advance apology when it was mainly white people.
@Flick Yep, and the Mormons love to breed. Or at least they used to; they’re still above average, but I think their TFR is under 3 now.
@MandyJane @Flick I hadn’t noticed that, but it’s not inaccurate. Joseph Smith had multiple underage wives, at least one was 14 at the time of marriage.
First time I’ve posted a buzzfeed article but some of these are amazing. They asked MidJourney to depict the European stereotype of Americans from each of the 50 states. Results are great.
Apparently Russia is running low on heavy artillery shells. They had 13 million shells (total, not just heavy) stockpiled at the start of the war, and have fired 10 million of them, with only one factory currently producing heavy shells, and they’re struggling to get the 2nd one online.
And keep in mind that just like the tank situation, the good ones have largely been used up, and what’s getting fielded now has been sitting on shelves for decades. Apparently a lot of misfires happening.
Unless they fix their production problems, soon they are going to have even more problems.
“With the intention of”
I’m thinking of that gif of the two dogs barking at each other on opposites sides of an automatic gate, and when the gate slides away, both of them calm down and walk away
Also, “nazi problem” is fucking hilarious. Punk used to be for actual non-conformists, but then the normies invaded, and through sheer numbers pushed the actual non-comformists out.
@cereal That’s what I was thinking. Like, how many microblogging sites are there and why has musk deluded himself into thinking that he can copy the features from other versions, but if they copy any of his that’s illegal?
cc @alex since you might find this whole thing amusing
Hoo boy
@Piss_Ant Important thing here is what “they aren’t all a standard size” means. Do you mean there isn’t standardization for a coin recognizing the same milestone, or that the coin sizes are different for the various milestones?
@Piss_Ant Damn this makes me want to print you a AA coin holder, but
@leftout @Piss_Ant The higher admission rates for the same test scores among Hispanics, and especially among blacks, weren’t because of legacy admissions. They were because Harvard, like many other colleges, discriminate on the basis of race. They fought for the right in court to continue to do this, that’s what the case was about, and you are conflating two separate issues here.
@leftout @Piss_Ant Maybe when your parents went to college. Nowadays it’s the opposite of what you claim, and has been that way for decades. That’s what the lawsuit was about.
You’re selecting data from one single university.
Dude you are Canadian as fuck. “Minorities get preferential treatment in college admissions” is such a well-understood fact that you frequently see white people (and Asians) falsify their ethnicity on college and scholarship applications.
Where is the information about legacy applicants?
You asserted that minorities aren’t given preferential treatment in college admissions, which is patently false. Quit dodging and defend this assertion.
I think you’ll find that afterwards Harvard is not filled with asians, like their data suggests it should be.
Maybe, I’m certainly less confident that this assertion is wrong than I am about your first one..
Bruh
@leftout @Piss_Ant If whether I accept or reject someone with a particular set of test scores and academic record depends on their race, I’m discriminating on the basis of race. If it doesn’t, then I’m not. Whether you think the discrimination is justified is another matter, but it’s discrimination regardless.
@Piss_Ant It’s only “devastating and surreal” because he doesn’t understand what the case was about. This ruling just prevents universities from discriminating based on race.
