The alternative is disastrous for the US and the World. It's so obvious - yet so many people have been conned/fooled, or are just happy voting GOP because they share the same ugly traits as their grifting leader.

This is not a criticism in any way - just a random thought I had during a restless night.

@dalfen Laura watched that movie the other night - I couldn't take it - too much chaos and violence and more chaos.....I went to bed instead. Granted she read the book before she even knew who JD Vance was - so I can understand how she'd like to see how the movie compared to the book.

Just paid my annual vehicle property tax bill here in #Connecticut

As someone who lived in NYS since birth, prior to moving to CT in 2000 - this payment always irks me to no end.

I got so used to not having to pay an annual vehicle property tax while a NYer.

I can't remember but I think the Gov and CT legislature were looking to repeal this stupid tax -I need to check on updates to this - maybe I won't have to pay next year? *fingers crossed*
