TLDR; but if it's akin to a viable microparyment service, then let's use it to pay rights holders for their IP. It could be commission-free small amounts that are still greater than the royalties proprietary incumbents pay and could attract a critical mass through a/ better pay & b/ ethical tech.

A thought:

If you've chosen 'black' for dark-mode, perhaps think about dark but more nuanced 'anthracite' - somewhere around #252525.

If you do a poll of the _colour_ in dark-modes across many sites/apps, I suspect dark anthracite will be more frequently used. Also, ask an experienced UI graphic designer or three.

* art photo
---* landscape
---* portrait
---* pets & animals
---* sport
---* family & group
---* macro
---* astro
---* ...
* meme
---* political
---* satire
---* fun
---* ...

And that other users can prioritize seeing areas they're interested in, using these hierarchical tags, as well as reputation, location, affiliations, hashtags, etc.
