I made some burritos with plant-based hamburger crumbles. I didn't taste any difference with the taco seasoning and sour cream and cheese on it. And the texture was good. I'm concerned about beef, milk, chicken and eggs. I don't know about cheese. I can get pasteurized eggs, although I only use them for baking and heat is supposed to kill any bird flu. And my husband uses ultra-pasteurized half and half. I'm not depending on anyone to protect me.
I just finished reading this book which was recommended to me by @cobalt. Thanks for the recommendation! I learned a lot about the brain and why we do and say things, the way we do. It was published in 2023, so recently. A good read and a keeper. #Alzheimer's #bookstodon
I'm blaming this on @Subumbral because even though I'm subscribed to Bag-O-Day's YouTube channel and thought about watching this podcast, it was only after Mike posted the podcast that I actually watched it. And since I have to watch everything he posts, I ended up making this lapghan from a lot of little yarn balls I had. Now the yarn balls have unionized and formed a lapghan. I really like the stitch, which is a C2C stitch done in a rectangle. It's like doing a giant granny square.
I'm a eclectic reader and love learning about everything. I'm naturally curious. I have an obsession with knitting and crochet and must knit and/or crochet everyday. I also love cooking. So most of my posts are about knitting, crochet and/or food. I try to follow a vegetarian diet, but I'm not always sucessful. However, I keep aiming in that direction. I also have a husband that is in early stages of Alzheimers and has Non-Hogdkins Lymphoma and I sometimes post about that. I'm mostly happy and have a weird sense of humor.
