@whitequark the actual PDF is only 1-2MB, not quite sure what aspect makes up the 1GB. PDF size too different to just be a mixup of MB to GB

@whitequark Hm ok, there is a chance it still interacts with USB packet processing depending on OS but that seems unlikely the issue then.
Wild though and yea that they perform differently makes it more absurd. Feels RAMy if its happening in these situations and these two environments performing so vastly different.

@whitequark Is the task itself USB related? Or does it really only happen when the Mouse interacts with these two specific windows?

Reminder that PDFs can have file attachments. Esp. with datasheets they sometimes hide useful data.

You get these USB4/TB to PCIe adapters based on the ASM2464PD for around 50€.
You can do non SSD stuff too as it is true PCIe tunneling and not a USB MSD to NVME bridge.
So any PCIe device (even GPUs) work, including this SATA controller.

The upcoming ASM2464PDX will also support birfurcation.

Did you know about biblically accurate HDMI?
It has 29 pins and 6 data channels instead of 4. Samtec seems to be the only ones who make this Type B connector and I have no idea who actively uses this.
It was intended for dual-link operation but I'm not aware anything ever adopted this.
