Youre response makes no sense. 75% of your users left, and every moment over the last 6 months your user count has continue to plummet because... you blocked CSAM? What?

As I stated the drop in user count has been negligent management of your federation list and abusive blocked of your own user base (as reports are surfacing), not CSAM, definitely not CSAM, stop making excuses.

Even if you plan to remove non-CSAM servers from the list after the fact, the damage is done. All those follows erased and needs to be re-formed inconveniencing hundreds of thousands of users and defaming servers all because your too lazy to do due diligence on your block list.

Yes my criticism is completely valid even if we accept your excuse on face valid, your choice was negligent and abusive to your own community and the wider fediverse community.

Just to be clear (I posted the charts) the point where user count started to plummit seems oddly in line with the date listed on your profile as the date you joined the server.

So just to be clear, all the data aligns, not to mention the ton of people coming forward (you cant see the thread cause you have them all blocked) calling you out and showing your bad-moderating practices and abuse.

The evidence speaks for itself.

There are literally **tons** of abusive examples on the oliphant list that have been called out countless times, I myself have pointed out 3 incidents that were easily debunked as well.

The fact that this guy is actually **defending** the list and said he has reviewed it and even found it to be a good list.... my god, no wonder his server has lost 75% of its users in a few months and continues to plummet.

Actually Oliphant doesnt use his "judgement" at all. He describes the process he uses. He basically just takes a bunch of instances that have a reputation for being **very** abusive in their moderation process and doing no due dilligance and just says if your on any of those lists (following his rules) you get on his list automatically.

This process includes instances list mastodon.art with no due dilligrance.

Similar experience.. we basically got "It doesn't matter if the accusations are real, it doesn't matter you have clear proof it was fabricated/a lie. You are on their block list and thats the criteria, take it up with them (mastodon.art et el).

I also just checked and this seems to have monumentally damaged the use count on the server.

I dont know exactly when this was enacted but in recent months the user count for the server plummeted from 80K to 20K and has month by month been continually decreasing since then as people flock away from the server. I suspect the use of this extremely abusive block list, and perhaps similar decisions are a large part of the reason.

Just FYI apparently #Universeodon has switched to the incredibly abusive and poorly maintained oliphant block list that is itself dictated, in part, of mastodon.art's abusive block list.

@jaymcor Seems neither of these stances have been confirmed yet, with both sides blaming the other.. Has there been any third party analysis to confirm this, both sides seem to make good arguments regarding the other.

I myself have held off on having an opinion until i can get some fact.

Why so scared to have a mature respectful discussion where people may disagree.. thats not an argument, that is sharing views.
