Why does everything has to be a battle royale/moba/season pack/etc these days.
They could be making a new Rayman, a new ZombieU, a new Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, Might and Magic, Driver, Red Steel. There’s more genres they could revisit/revitalize
8-9 years ago during a live round-table, I said that game devs had a social responsibility especially towards children, to not put gambling-money-related spending incentive in videogames; and it was dismissed. I was right, this kind of stuff isn't good.
React builds were failing in India only because the government blocked a website so it would make gradle fail to build. I dunno ... I guess maybe they optimized the code? or wrote smarter code? Remembering that gamedev era of time when PCs could barely scroll a background and underdog id Software came around and "just" made 3D stuff by approaching things differently.
wow so Tiktok was actually banned huh. Instead of asking for a revert I'd say just throw in Facebook and Twitter in there too, globally! But that would never happen.

not as well know as Moore's Law, but Wirth's law states software is getting slower more rapidly than hardware is becoming faster. We might get new devices millions time faster than a decade ago but things are just as fast but using more resources and power. browsers always end up using all RAM.
