not as well know as Moore's Law, but Wirth's law states software is getting slower more rapidly than hardware is becoming faster. We might get new devices millions time faster than a decade ago but things are just as fast but using more resources and power. browsers always end up using all RAM.

the logi ergo k860 looks like a neat keyboard (slowly researching eventual replacements for my MS Sculpt), but I wish they had a TLK version, I can't deal with full-key anymore, too uncomfortable.

26 years ago, running on a PS1 at 320x240 resolution, with a 33mhz processor with 2MB RAM + 1MB GPU; Resident Evil 2 was one of the scariest and most immersive games you could play.

I feel like old-gamedev because I don’t think of 16GB of RAM as potato-pc but a luxury. There’s tons you can get done with that amount of memory.

maybe it's placebo effect, but it feels like most 1080p videos on youtube look way worse now than they used to. And I wonder if that's anything to do with the "1080p high bitrate premium" they sell now
