Happy Happy Birthday to me. This morning my elderly momma who has been struggling this past month gave me a sweet little "happy birthday" box with some cute tchotchkes - I am putting in a half-day at work and then getting my favorite sandwich at Biscuits Cafe (french dip) and will spend the day printing chess pieces :D on my new printer with silk rainbow filament! #today#3dprinting@3dprinting
@That_One_Guy@Mrfunkedude I sometimes wish I hadn't gone with an HOA - but the non-HOA areas were scary for a single senior woman looking to buy a house on her own. I regret that I succumbed to my fear.. man a leaf falls off your tree in the fall and that HOA car is right there.. a fine for you and you and you. gah.. When I retire I'm selling this house and getting me a tiny home on my own land near water :D
@Mrfunkedude I bought these for my mom and I for our fitbits but I have to say they are extremely comfortable! She has issues with her skin so it took a few tries to find something that wasn't irritating.. maybe there are some with same material for your apple watch? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09GFCV56H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (I know they definitely have different colors) but just had to say I love these!
my morning: walking by my nearly 79 yo mom with one single 16" concrete paver not knowing whether to explain what it's for.. being a 3d printing hobbyist can require some interesting purchases :D (the paver is for under my bambu p1p to help absorb some of the vibrations of the speed of this printer) printing a bed scraper this morning though I've not needed one so far.. oh and it's storming #today#3dprinting
Good Sunday morning all :) Yesterday.. I spent most of the day playing Valheim but today I am working on adding the accessories I printed for my Bambu P1P - attaching the poop chute and slide, the led light, the fan & the filament holder (all in Rose gold filament) I have heretofore given my printer a name.. her name is Rosie :D like Rosie the riveter.. like all us strong women everywhere. Oh and also doing laundry :D #today#3dprinting
@Mrfunkedude your prompt made me remember :) Yeah and her kids were so well trained but no way they would have had the strength to position her so she wouldn't hurt herself or the baby. It was just one of those.. OH GOD NO instinctual things.. we were about 8 houses apart.. and I'm telling you I've never ever run so fast!
@Mrfunkedude fortunately she had her other two daughters trained. We put the baby in the carrier and they took her upstairs and I made sure she was on her side and wasn't near anything that could hurt her while she seized and waited for her hubby who was speeding home.. she turned out ok but that moment when she fell and I grabbed the baby just in time has been with me since.
@Mrfunkedude I saved a baby & their mom - San Jose, CA circa 1990s sometime.. I was raising my kids and taking care of other families kids - one of my best friends lived up the street from me - Epileptic - she had her phone set to call her husband when she had seizures. She was about to seize (grand mal) a and accidentally called me - no sound on the other end - I have never run so fast in my life. I got into her house just in time to catch her newborn before she fell to the ground and seized.
Went to check my usps and my bambu lab pre-order kit with fan and camera showed up!! Awesome way to start the day.. I won't get to play with them until the weekend but WHEEEE anyway! Now I really need to get that 16" paver ordered!! :D #today#3dprinting
